CU 24/7 and Bill Pay Services

Call 24: If we approve the Call 24 for your accounts, a separate PIN (Personal Identification Number) will be assigned to you. You must use your PIN (Personal Identification Number) along with your account number to access your accounts. At the present time you may use the Call 24 to:

  • Withdraw funds from your Savings, Checking, Money Market, Christmas Club, and Vacation Club accounts.
  • Transfer funds from your Savings and Checking accounts.
  • Obtain balance information for your Savings, Checking, Money Market, Christmas Club, and Vacation Club accounts.
  • Determine if a particular item has cleared.
  • Obtain tax information on amounts earned on savings and checking accounts or interest paid on loan accounts.
  • Verify the last date and amount of your payroll deposit.
  • Your accounts can be accessed under the Call 24 via a touch tone telephone only. Call 24 service will be available for your convenience twenty-four (24) hours per day. This service may be interrupted for a short time each day for data processing.
  • See Section 2 for transfer limitations that may apply to these transactions.

The Credit Union reserves the right to refuse any transaction which would draw upon insufficient funds, exceed a credit limit, lower an account below a required balance, or otherwise require us to increase our required reserve on the account. All checks are payable to you as a primary member and will be mailed to your address of record. The Credit Union may set other limits on the amount of any transaction, and you will be notified of those limits. The Credit Union may refuse to honor any transaction for which you do not have sufficient available verified funds. The service will discontinue if no transaction is entered after numerous unsuccessful attempts to enter a transaction, and there may be limits on the duration of each telephone call.

Preauthorized EFTs

  • Direct Deposit: Upon instruction of (i) your employer or (ii) the Treasury Department or (iii) other financial institutions, the Credit Union will accept direct deposits of your paycheck or of federal recurring payments, such as Social Security, to your account.
  • Preauthorized Debits: Upon instruction, we will pay certain recurring transactions from your share, savings, and checking accounts. See Section 2 for transfer limitations that may apply to these transactions.
  • Stop Payment Rights: If you have arranged in advance to make regular electronic fund transfers out of your account(s) for money you owe others, you may stop payment on preauthorized transfers from your account. You must notify us orally or in writing at any time up to three (3) business days before the scheduled date of the transfer. We may require written confirmation of the stop payment order to be made within 14 days of any oral notification. If we do not receive the written confirmation, the oral stop payment order shall cease to be binding 14 days after it has been made.
  • Notice of Varying Amounts: If these regular payments may vary in amount, the person you are going to pay is required to tell you, ten (10) days before each payment, when it will be made and how much it will be. You may choose instead to get this notice only when the payment would differ by more than a certain amount from the previous payment or when the amount would fall outside certain limits that you set.
  • Liability for Failure to Stop Payment of Preauthorized Transfers: If you order us to stop payment of a preauthorized transfer three (3) business days or more before the transfer is scheduled and we do not do so, we will be liable for your losses or damages.

Electronic Check Conversion/Electronic Returned Check Fees: If you pay for purchases or bills with a check or draft, you may authorize your check or draft to be converted to an electronic fund transfer. You may also authorize merchants or other payees to electronically debit your account for returned check fees. You are considered to have authorized these electronic fund transfers if you complete the transaction after being told (orally or by a notice posted or sent to you) that the transfer may be processed electronically or if you sign a written authorization.

24/7 Online Service: By using the Greater Kentucky Credit Union CU 24/7 Online Service, you agree to be bound by all terms and conditions contained herein in addition to any applicable account and/or loan agreement accepted by you when using Greater Kentucky Credit Union products and/or services. In addition, such action constitutes further acceptance of, and intent to be bound by, any and all future amendments hereto.

Description of Services: This Agreement specifically governs the use of the Greater Kentucky Credit Union CU 24/7 Online Service and informs you of your rights and responsibilities associated with the service. This Agreement supplements your Account Disclosures with Greater Kentucky Credit Union. Please read this Agreement carefully.
This Agreement is between Greater Kentucky Credit Union (herein called “we”, “our”, “us”, “Greater Kentucky”, or “Credit Union”) and anyone who utilizes this service. Those individuals who use this service are referred to “you”, “your”, and “yours” in this Agreement. CU 24/7 Online Service (“CU 24/7”) provides access to your account online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except as indicated in the System Unavailability section of this Agreement.

Account Access Through CU 24/7 Online Service you can access your account(s) via the internet to:

  • Transfer funds between eligible Activated Accounts that are deposit accounts at Greater Kentucky (some restrictions may apply)
  • Transfer funds from your deposit account to make a payment on your loan (including VISA) or line of credit with Greater Kentucky
  • Transfer funds to someone else’s account at Greater Kentucky (you must know their account number, account code, and suffix)
  • Obtain balance information and transaction history on your account at Greater Kentucky (excluding VISA)
  • Pay bills electronically
  • View your account statement online
  • View images of cleared checks
  • E-mail the Credit Union with questions and/or requests

You may make fund transfers as often as you like. However, be aware you may incur a fee depending on the guidelines set forth in the Account Disclosure.
Transactions made after 4 p.m. ET may not be processed until the next business day.
Any features and functions added to this service in the future will be subject to this Agreement, as amended from time to time.

Online Enrolment: You must have an open account that meets all requirements as outlined in your Account Disclosure. To use the service you must be at least 18 years old or have the written consent of an adult also listed as an owner of your account.
To activate the service, you will first enroll online. You will be required to change your Security Code (password) upon your initial logon. After you’ve been set up, you may logon to access and use each of the permitted services.

Security: CU 24/7 uses 128-bit encryption to ensure the security of all transactions conducted. Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) provides privacy for data flowing between secure transmissions. You agree to keep your Logon ID and Security Code confidential at all times and to prevent any disclosure of your ID and code to any other person or entity not listed as an owner of your account. You have the ability to reset your code if you forget it. You must contact the Credit Union if you experience problems when doing so. If you fail to maintain security of your ID and code, we reserve the right to terminate service to you under this Agreement.
To help safeguard your security, you should change your Logon ID and Security Code frequently. You should also never leave your PC unattended while using CU 24/7 and always exit and sign off the service properly. You assume all responsibilities for and all risks of loss resulting from you having provided personal information, including your Logon ID and Security Code, to any third party website that spoofs or otherwise imitates the Greater Kentucky Credit Union website or online service, or by linking to third party websites from unauthorized e-mail, and you hereby release us from all liabilities and obligations in connection with such actions by you.

Activated Accounts: If you are listed as a primary owner on an account, you will have automatic access to said account via CU 24/7. Activated accounts may include: checking accounts, deposit accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), investment accounts (IRAs), and loans. If you are joint owner on an account, you will need to contact the Credit Union to gain access. If you open a new account, you can add it to your account summary by going to the account list found under the personal options section and adding it.

Authorized Use of Services: There can only be one Logon ID per account. You are responsible for keeping the Logon ID and Security Code confidential. If you permit other persons to use the Service or your logon, you are responsible for all transactions they may make. You are liable for all transfers and payments that you make or are made by any other user, even if such user exceeds your authority or is not an authorized signer on your account. You must notify us immediately if you believe any of your Activated Accounts were accessed or your logon was used without your permission.

CU 24/7 Fees and Charges: There is no fee associated with the basic CU 24/7 service however, you may incur a charge for add-on features such as Bill Pay and AlertMe. Refer to our fee schedule or contact Member Services for further details. The Credit Union reserves the right to impose fees or to subsequently change any fee structure, with or without notice, as required by law.

E-mail: You have the ability to send e-mail to the Credit Union via CU 24/7. Members should use this secure means to communicate with our representatives. You should not rely on e-mail if you need to communicate with us immediately – for example, when reporting a lost or stolen card, stopping payment on a check, applying for a loan. You should not use other (unencrypted) e-mail, or reply to any e-mail, to send us personal or confidential information. We can not take action based on your e-mail request until we receive your message, verify any necessary information, and have a reasonable opportunity to act. You agree to maintain a valid and active e-mail address on file with us at all times.

Limitations: Availability of funds for transfer, withdrawal, or payment may be limited as provided in our Funds Availability Policy which is available for viewing under the ‘About’ section of our website and in the lobby at each location.
Under no circumstances will we be liable if you are unable to complete any payment and/or transfers initiated via CU 24/7 because of the existence of any one or more of the following circumstances:

  • You do not obtain a Confirmation at the time you initiate a transaction or you do not authorize a transfer prior to an item posting to your account.
  • The designated account does not contain sufficient funds to complete the transfer, or the funds in your account are subject to an administrative hold, legal process, or other claim.
  • The designated account is closed.
  • You have not provided us with the correct information for accounts to which you wish to make a transfer or you are attempting to access a non-activated account.
  • You have not allowed at least 5 business days prior to the due date when submitting a bill payment electronically.
  • You have used the wrong Logon ID, Security Code, or Passphrase or you have not properly followed any applicable service instructions for completing transactions.
  • Any circumstances beyond our control (such as, but not limited to, fire, flood, or interference from an outside source) that prevent the proper execution of the transaction.

Other Limitations of Liability: Only the most recent versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape browsers are acceptable. You are solely responsible for the selection, installation, maintenance and operation of your personal computer and software. Greater Kentucky expressly disclaims any and all liability as it relates to improper use of your personal computer and its data transmission or storage. Greater Kentucky is not responsible for any errors or failures due to any malfunctions of your personal computer or software, or unsuitability of software or any virus, or any problems that may be associated with the PC or any Internet service.

System Unavailability: Access to CU 24/7 may be unavailable at certain times due to required maintenance or upgrades or the occurrence of unforeseen events such as, but not limited to, earthquakes, fires, floods, computer failures, interruptions in communication service, electrical outages, civil unrest or riots, war, acts of terrorism, or other circumstances beyond our control that may cause system unavailability. The Credit Union will make every reasonable effort to ensure the availability of service. However, we are in no way liable for the unavailability of CU 24/7 or any consequential damages that may result.

Termination of Agreement and Services: You may cancel this Agreement and terminate your service with the Credit Union at any time by notifying us orally or in writing and discontinuing use of the service. Your service may be disabled if it remains unused for a minimum of 60 consecutive days. To reinstate the service, you will need to contact the Credit Union via phone or in person. Failure to provide the Credit Union with complete and correct information related to this service can result in involuntary termination of your service. The Credit Union may terminate its service and this Agreement at any time by giving you advance notification via e-mail, website, or other communication.

Governing Laws: This Agreement is made in the State of Kentucky and shall be construed and governed by the laws of the State of Kentucky and the federal laws of the United States of America, without regard to any conflicts of law principles.

Amendments: Agreement may be amended by the Credit Union at any time at its discretion. You will receive notification of any amendments required by law via e-mail or Credit Union website.

Severability: If any term of this Agreement is declared invalid or unenforceable by the court, the remaining terms of this Agreement will not be affected, and this Agreement will be interpreted as if the invalid terms had not been in place for this Agreement.

Bill Pay: This is your bill paying agreement with Greater Kentucky Credit Union. You may use the bill paying service, to direct Greater Kentucky Credit Union to make payments from your designated checking (account) to the Payees you choose in accordance with this agreement. The terms and conditions of this Agreement are in addition to the Account agreements, disclosures and other documents in effect from time to time governing your Account (the Account Rules).

"You" or "your" means each person who is authorized to use the service. "Payee" means anyone, including Greater Kentucky Credit Union, you designate and Greater Kentucky Credit Union accepts as a payee.

How to Set Up Payees/Payments: Complete a bill paying enrollment form. If you want to add a new payee, submit your request in writing, use “Set up Accounts/Payee” on the internet or speak to a Member Service Representative. You may add a new fixed payment to a Payee, only if the Payee is on your authorized list of payees, and by accessing the Service and entering the appropriate information. Most other additions, deletions, or changes can be made in writing or by using the Service. Greater Kentucky Credit Union reserves the right to refuse the designation of a Payee for any reason. Each Payee accepted by Greater Kentucky Credit Union will be assigned a payee code. You may pay almost any payee you wish. There are several restrictions: 1) The merchant must be located in the United States; 2) Payments may not be remitted to tax authorities or government and collection agencies; 3) Payments may not be remitted to security companies such as Ameritrade for stock purchases or trade taxing authorities and 4) Court directed payments are unauthorized (Alimony, child support, or other legal debts). Don't forget you can use this system to send payments to your son/daughter in college, pay your local orthodontist, credit cards, charitable donations, etc. A merchant is defined as anybody (company or individual) to whom you want to send money.
Greater Kentucky Credit Union is not responsible if a Bill Payment cannot be made due to incomplete, incorrect, or outdated information provided by you regarding a Payee or if you attempt to pay a Payee that is not on your Authorized Payee list.

Accessing the Service: You must contact the Credit Union to have this service set up on your account. When you complete your bill paying enrollment form, you will select a USER I.D. and Personal Identification Number (PIN). Greater Kentucky Credit Union will make every effort to accommodate your request. Each time you access the Service, you will be asked to enter your USER ID AND PIN. Correct responses will give you access to the Service.

The Bill Pay Process: Greater Kentucky Credit Union will process variable payments on the business day (generally Monday through Friday, except holidays) you designate the bill is to be processed, provided the payment request is received prior to the cut-off time set by Greater Kentucky Credit Union, which is currently 2:00 p.m. CST. Variable bill requests received after the business day cut off time or at any time on a non-business day will be processed on the next business day. Greater Kentucky Credit Union reserves its right to change the cut-off time by giving you notice if it changes.
For recurring payment request if you designate a processing date of the 28th through the 31st of a month, processing will be initiated on the last calendar day of the month.
Otherwise, recurring payment requests will be processed on the dates you have designated, unless such date falls on a non-business day resulting in your payment being processed on the next business day. You must allow at least five (5) business days, prior to due date, for each bill payment (recurring or variable) to reach the payee. It is the responsibility of the subscriber to schedule/activate recurring payments. You agree to have available and collected funds on deposit in the account you designate in amounts sufficient to pay for all Bill Payments requested, as well as, any other payment obligations you have to Greater Kentucky Credit Union. Greater Kentucky Credit Union reserves the right, without liability, to reject or reverse a Bill Payment if you fail to comply with this requirement or any other terms of this agreement. If you do not have sufficient funds in the Account and Greater Kentucky Credit Union has not exercised its right to reverse or reject a Bill Payment, you agree to pay for such payment obligations on demand. You further agree Greater Kentucky Credit Union, at its option, may charge any of your accounts to cover such payment obligations. Any Bill Payment can be changed or canceled, provided you access the Service prior to the cut-off time on the business day prior to the business day the Bill Payment is going to be initiated.

Liability: You are solely responsible for controlling the safekeeping of, and access to, your Personal Identification Number (PIN). You are liable for all transactions you make or that you authorize another person to make even if that person exceeds his or her authority. If you want to terminate another person's authority, you must notify Greater Kentucky Credit Union and arrange to change your PIN. You will be responsible for any Bill Payment request you make that contains an error or is a duplicate of another Bill Payment. Greater Kentucky Credit Union is not responsible for a Bill Payment that is not made if you did not properly follow the instructions for making a Bill Payment. Greater Kentucky Credit Union is not liable for any failure to make a Bill Payment if you fail to promptly notify Greater Kentucky Credit Union after you learn that you have not received credit from a Payee for a Bill Payment. Greater Kentucky Credit Union is not responsible for your acts or omissions or those of any other person, including, without limitation, any transmission or communications facility, and no such party shall be deemed to be Greater Kentucky Credit Union’s agent. In any event, Greater Kentucky Credit Union will not be liable for any special, consequential, incidental, or punitive losses, damages, or expenses in connection with this Agreement or the Service, even if Greater Kentucky Credit Union has knowledge of the possibility of them. Greater Kentucky Credit Union is not liable for any act, failure to act or delay in acting if it is caused, in whole or in part, by any cause beyond Greater Kentucky Credit Union’s reasonable control.

Amendment and Termination: Greater Kentucky Credit Union has the right to change this Agreement at any time by notice mailed to you at the last address shown for the Account on Greater Kentucky Credit Union’s records, by posting notice in branches of Greater Kentucky Credit Union, or as otherwise permitted by law. Greater Kentucky Credit Union has the right to terminate this Agreement at any time. You may terminate this Agreement by written notice to Greater Kentucky Credit Union. Greater Kentucky Credit Union is not responsible for any fixed payment made before Greater Kentucky Credit Union has a reasonable opportunity to act on your termination notice. You remain obligated for any payments made by Greater Kentucky Credit Union on your behalf.

Bill Pay Fees
Certain members qualify for Free Bill Pay. Please refer to the Relationship Account Pricing criteria or contact Member Services for further details. Inactive Bill Pay accounts will be assessed a fee after 90 days of inactivity. Please refer to our fee schedule.

  • There is no limit on number of bill payments per day.
  • There is a limit on (1) payee per day for bill payments.
  • The maximum amount of bill payments each day is $3,000.00, if there are sufficient funds in your account.

Greater Kentucky Credit Union reserves the right to charge you for research time involving payments no longer available in your screen history. You will be informed of any such charges before they are incurred. Bill payments are processed by Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT). Please see the Electronic Fund Transfers Disclosure Statement included, or, received when you opened your account, which discloses important information concerning your rights and obligations.
